Biography
She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Viçosa (1999), a master's degree (2001) and a PhD in Functional and Molecular Biology (2004) from the State University of Campinas and postdoctoral studies at the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, OK, USA. He has experience in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, working mainly in subjects such as secondary metabolism, role of glycosyltransferases in plants and animals and environmental stresses in plants. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Advanced Research (Elsevier) and serves as a reviewer of articles from several indexed scientific journals and ad-hoc advisor to national research funding agencies. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Plant Physiology, American Society for Plant Biologists (ASPB), Sociedade Botânica do Brasil and Brazilian Soil Science Society. It has works in collaboration with researchers from national and international teaching / research institutions. He was Chief of the Department of Botany, ICB, UFMG from Feb / 2014 to Feb / 2016. She is the coordinator of the Group of Studies in Plant Biochemistry - GEBioPlan and the Network of Studies for the Development of New Urease Inhibitors - REDNIU (www.redniu.org).
